成立於1976年，雙城中文學校是一所正式在明尼蘇達州註冊的非營利教育機構。本校致力於華語教學、推廣中華文化、和人文教育近40年。本校一直不斷加強和擴大課程和努力打造優質美好的學習園地。我們目標的是希望本校畢業生學好中文並對中文產生興趣, 而且了解中華文化的精髓。為實現這個目標, 我們的課程和活動不僅有語文、傳統文化、節慶、風俗、藝術, 還融入儒家思想以及生活與倫理教育。 我們的老師具有多年教學經驗。更重要的是，我們遴選的教師深具熱忱、愛心及耐心，用唱遊、說故事、活動、比賽等方式讓學生快樂地學中文。他們並且不定期參加中文教學研討會, 與全國各地其他的中文教師交流經驗。本校所用課本是針對美洲地區學生編寫的中文課本。其內容與各年級學生的生活、學科和思想相銜接。 歡迎您與學校連繫來參觀學校舉辦的中國新年慶祝活動以及結業典禮。屆時您將可見到信心十足、風度翩翩、並以流利的中國話介紹節目的學生司儀，以及許許多多學生精彩的中國民俗才藝表演。 我們的語文和延伸課程招收從年滿4歲的兒童、少年到成人： 成人會話班 我們的成人會話班使用拼音系統學習中文發音和漢字，非常適合青少年和成年人初學者學習中文。 所開設的課程：初級班和進階班。 正規中文班（A班） 我們的正規中文班的課程是為在家裡有機會講華語的學生而設計。學生將學習閱讀和書寫正體漢字、會話、演說和朗讀。本課程所用課本內注音與漢語拼音並列，生字卡附有簡體漢字，學生可以同時學會兩種中文字體。 所開設的課程：學前班、幼兒園班及1年級 - 9年級。 兒童會話班（B班） 我們的兒童會話班是為在家裡沒有機會講華語的學生而設計。非常適合美國家庭收養的中國兒童。本系列課程著重會話練習。 所開設的課程：學前班、幼兒園及1年級 - 3年級。 延伸課程（文化課） 我們的延伸課程讓學生有進一步接觸中華文化和健身的機會﹐並培養特殊才藝。 延伸課程包括：國畫、中國舞蹈、中國功夫、中國珠心算、中國工藝與民俗遊戲、中國象棋、中國的動畫、功課輔導、瑜伽和吉他。 |

Founded in 1976, Twin Cities Chinese Language School has been teaching Chinese language and culture to students in the Twin Cities area for almost 40 years. Located at Hubbs Center in St. Paul, the school has been continuously enhancing and expanding its curriculum. Our school strives to provide excellent Chinese language education for our students to achieve proficiency and to learn the essence of Chinese culture and arts. In addition, our curriculum and activities are designed to cultivate strong moral characters out of all students, so they can become good world citizens. All of our teachers are native Mandarin Chinese speakers and are enthusiastic and experienced in Chinese teaching. They regularly attend workshops to exchange experience with teachers from other Chinese language schools around the country. They are dedicated to create a positive and authentic learning experience for each student. We welcome you to visit our Chinese New Year celebration and graduation ceremony where our students host the events in Chinese and showcase what they have learned. We offer language and culture classes to students from 4 years old to adults: Chinese Adult Conversation Classes Our adult conversation classes use the PinYin system to learn the pronunciations of Mandarin Chinese and to recognize traditional Chinese characters. Our adult beginner class is great for teenagers and adults who speak little or no Chinese. We also offer adult advanced class for students who want to continue to advance their Chinese speaking competences. Classes offered: beginner and advanced Traditional Chinese Classes (A track) Our traditional Chinese classes are designed for students who predominantly or exclusively speak Mandarin Chinese at home. Students will learn to read and write traditional Chinese characters and to practice conversation skills. Simplified Chinese characters are also introduced in the flash cards that come with the textbooks. Classes offered: pre-K, kindergarten, grade 1 – 9 Chinese Children Conversation Classes (B track) Our children conversation classes are designed for students who predominantly or exclusively speak English at home. It is perfect for students who are from non-Chinese speaking family and for adopted Chinese children. Classes offered: pre-K, kindergarten, grade 1 – 3 Extension Culture Classes Our extension culture classes include: Chinese painting; Chinese dance; Chinese Kungfu; Chinese abacus and mental arithmetic; Chinese craft and folk games; Chinese chess, go and beyond; Chinese animations; homework tutoring; yoga; guitar.
