成立於1976年，明州雙城中文學校是一所正式在明尼蘇達州註冊的非營利教育機構。本校致力於華語教學、推廣中華文化和人文教育超過40年，一直不斷努力打造優質美好的學習園地。我們目標的是希望本校畢業生學好中文並對中文產生興趣, 而且了解台灣與中華文化的精髓。為實現這個目標, 我們的課程和活動不僅有語文、傳統文化、節慶、風俗、藝術, 還融入生活與倫理教育。
我們的老師具有多年教學經驗。更重要的是，我們遴選的教師深具熱忱、愛心及耐心，用唱遊、說故事、活動、比賽等方式讓學生快樂地學中文。他們並且不定期參加中文教學研討會, 與全美各地其他的中文教師交流經驗。本校所用課本是針對美洲地區學生編寫的中文課本。其內容與各年級學生的生活、學科和思想相銜接。 歡迎您與學校連繫來參觀學校舉辦的農曆新年慶祝活動以及結業典禮。屆時您將可見到信心十足、風度翩翩、並以流利華語介紹節目的學生司儀，以及許許多多學生精彩的中華民俗才藝表演。
我們的語文和延伸課程招收從年滿4歲的兒童、少年到成人：
- 兒童正規班
我們的正規中文班的課程是為在家裡有機會講華語的學生而設計。學生將學習閱讀和書寫正體漢字、會話、演說和朗讀。本課程所用課本內注音與漢語拼音並列，生字卡附有簡體漢字，學生可以同時學會兩種中文字體。
開設的課程：學前班、幼兒園班及1年級 – 9年級。
- 兒童會話班
我們的兒童會話班是為在家裡沒有機會講華語的學生而設計。本系列課程著重會話練習，並鼓勵學生上台簡報與演說。
2023學年所開設的課程：3年級 、6年級。
- 成人會話班 （台灣華語文中心）
我們的成人會話班使用拼音系統學習中文發音和漢字，老師群有多年成人教學經驗，能配合學生需求調整教學內容與方法，搭配課堂文化活動，讓成人學生有效的學習中文。
開設的課程：初級班、中級班和進階班。
- 延伸課程（文化課）
我們的延伸課程讓學生有進一步接觸中華文化和健身的機會﹐並培養特殊才藝。
延伸課程包括：舞龍舞獅、功夫、珠心算、手工藝、扯鈴、中國象棋等。
Welcome!
Twin Cities Chinese Language School, founded in 1976, teaches Chinese language and culture to students in the Twin Cities area. Located at Hubbs Center in St. Paul, the school offers a continuously enhanced and expanded curriculum. We strive to provide excellent Chinese language education, enabling our students to achieve proficiency and learn the essence of Chinese culture and arts. Our curriculum and activities are also designed to cultivate strong moral character in all students, so they can become good world citizens.
Our teachers are all native Mandarin Chinese speakers who are enthusiastic and experienced in Chinese teaching. They regularly attend workshops to exchange experiences with teachers from other Chinese language schools around the country. They are dedicated to creating a positive and authentic learning experience for all students.
We welcome you to visit our Lunar New Year celebration and graduation ceremony where our students and staff host the events in Chinese and showcase their learning.
We offer Chinese language and culture classes to students from 4 years old to adults.
- Children Traditional Classes
Our traditional classes are designed for students who speak Mandarin at home. Students will learn to read and write traditional Chinese characters and to practice conversation skills. Simplified Chinese characters are also introduced in the textbooks’ flashcards.
Classes offered: Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grade 1 – 9
- Children Conversation Classes
Our children conversation classes are designed for students who primarily or only speak English at home. They are ideal for students from non-Chinese-speaking families.
Classes offered in 2023: Grade 3 & 6
- Adult Conversation Classes
Our adult conversation classes use the Pinyin system to teach the pronunciations of Mandarin Chinese and to recognize basic traditional Chinese characters. Our adult beginner class is great for teenagers and adults who speak little to no Chinese. We also offer an adult advanced class for students who want to continue to advance their Chinese speaking skills.
Classes offered: Beginner, intermediate, and Advanced
- Extension Culture Classes
Our extension culture classes include lion dance, dragon dance, kung fu, Chinese abacus, Chinese craft, Chinese yoyo, and more.
