七年級的學生今年在豐富的教材下可以學習到許多貼近生活的中文，也增強他們中文的聽說讀寫。課堂中我們會練習點菜，跟毒品說不，可以培養他們中文的溝通能力；學習繁體和簡體字，認識中國不同的文化民族，淺談中醫和針灸來體認中國文化與習俗；閱讀希臘和中國神話故事可以比較中西文化的特性。每週學習課文生字時，老師會提供許多跟生字有關的詞語和成語以增強學生們的詞彙量。
This year, the seventh grade students will improve on their daily life Chinese as well as listening, speaking, reading and writing. To improve on the conversational skills, we will be learning how to order food in a restaurant and say no to drugs. We will also broaden our Chinese culture knowledge by learning the traditional and simplified Chinese characters, different Chinese ethnic groups, and Chinese medicine and acupuncture. We will also compare the difference in cultural features of the East and West by studying Chinese and Greek mythology. Every week, when we go over our new words, the teacher will also provide extra phrases and proverbs that are related, to increase the students’ vocabulary.
